Nomendex includes a dedicated chat interface for having conversations with Claude.

Starting a Chat

Open the chat interface in several ways:

• Use the command palette (⌘K) and search for "Chats"
• Search for "New Chat" to start a fresh conversation
• Click the chat icon in the sidebar

Chat Features

File References

Reference files from your workspace in chat using the @ symbol:

@notes/meeting.md Can you summarize this?

Claude will read the file and include it in the context of your conversation.

Multiple Sessions

Create multiple chat sessions for different topics or projects. Each session maintains its own conversation history.

Chat Browser

The chat browser shows all your conversations:

• See recent chats at a glance
• Search through past conversations
• Delete old chats you no longer need

Agent Selection

Select which agent powers your chat. Agents are configured with specific capabilities, system prompts, and tools. See Create Agents for more.

Slash Commands

Use slash commands to trigger skills in chat. Type / to see available commands, then select one to run.

Skills extend what Claude can do — from generating code to searching the web. See Skills for more.
